Pricey but tasty sandwiches. ..great bread. Lady who took order unfriendly...ubrupt. and this was our first time..and she knew it! Awkward atmosphere.Not sure we would go back.....

Very friendly service. Personal and helpful. The meats and sausages are outstanding, the sandwiches are delicious. Next time I'll be asking for a bit more meat on my sandwich. One of the few places around town to get Boar's Head meats.

Best Deli in the Spokane and CDA area hands down. Family owned and operated. imported European and German beers. Bread is so fresh and sandwiches and salads are MONSTEROUS! Great red potato salad - home made and other delicacies. This should be the ONE place you eat for lunch while in CDA.

One of the best German Deli/Restaurants anywhere! Few people know about their private banquet room. Had a private birthday party there with some of the best German food outside Deutschland! Stop in regularly for a six pack of some variety.

I so enjoy the wonderful custom sandwiches and great beer at the beer bar. The brats and kraut are always a great choice too. After we eat, we enjoy perusing the amazing wine & beer selection. Great place, wish I lived closer! The local places are always the best! Thanks Mark

I called to see if they have pastrami sandwiches the person who answered the phone was rude and said so you want to order a pastrami she said what kind of sandwich I said a pastrami she but what kind and hung up on me? Tell me what was I missing that she kept asking me what kind of sandwich, is there another kind of pastrami sandwich? Though I didn't get any sandwich so I don't know if it's good,but the customer service was not good.

I originally gave Daanen's a 2 star rating a year ago for good food but lousy service. That was based on a new owner that made a lot of changes then suddenly the place was always closed.Well, Mark and his sons are back and they are open when they say they are open. Still the great food and beers that I was used to before the "other guy". Still not a fan of the hours as they are already closed when I get off of work during the week, but I stop by each Saturday when I can.BTW, this is the only place, that I have found, that has Spaten Optimator on tap. If you have never had it, I encourage you to stop by and try it. Please save me some though.

The bread is soft and the meats are delicious! Full bar and beer menu! This is a gem in the state worth visiting. Family owned and a true pleasure knowing the waiter and staff will remember your name when you order.

I love chill environments where I feel welcome, and that is what Daanens provided. The food was good, not gourmet, but affordable, and yummy. The employee who gave us the food was very friendly but not in the fake sort of way. Would highly recommend if you want to catch up with a friend, or grab a quick lunch. Will be coming back soon:)

Service was horrible. Food is alright. It's changed and we could lnt get help for 15 mins just standing there. Not welcoming at all. It was sad cause it didn't use to be like that

Best sandwiches ever!!

I ordered a bratwurst paid $9 for it and watched her pull a package of Johnsonville brats out of the freezer.... I hoped for German food not pre packaged crap posing as "authentic"

The old owners recently took it back, and it's back to its former glory. Wonderful sandwiches. I wish they had true sour dough bread. If they did, I'd eat there a lot more often. But otherwise, fantastic food and really great selection of wine, beer, and sake.

The Daanen family has returned!! My family is excited to finally be able to enjoy this place again. Anyone that is thinking about NOT trying this place, ignore the bad reviews and go back! The Daanen family will not only deliver on quality of food but will provide you with excellent customer service and an atmosphere that feels like home.

Always love stopping in here for a delicious sandwich, and taking home a nice beer from their great selection. Just having one at the bar is very enjoyable as well.

Not a German deli any longer and so we ordered a turkey sandwich made to order. Staff was very unfriendly (we left without a "Thanks for coming, hope you'll come back." ) Hope the new owners improve the menu.

They no longer carry the selection of imported wined that they had under previous ownership.
